Summer Camp

A gift that lasts a lifetime

Summer Camp Program

Summer camp is more than fun in the sun—it’s an informal, immersive learning experience through which children build self-confidence, strengthen problem solving skills, cultivate curiosity, develop independence, discover new skills, and connect with nature.

Each summer, for the past 15 years, SSEF has sent children, 8 years and older, to overnight camp. In 2018, 37 children went to camp through SSEF, and we continue to expand our camp program by looking into more options for upcoming summers, including day camp, partnerships with new overnight camps, and specialized summer programs for college-bound teens.

In Summer 2018, SSEF sent 37 children between the ages of 8 - 15 to overnight camp, and in Summer 2017, we sent 40 kids. We also connect children with day camps and teens with youth development programs.  A community-wide survey in 2017 reveals an anticipated  increase in camp-aged children over the next seven years. Help us plan for this trend by making a donation to SSEF's Camp Program. It's a gift that lasts a lifetime!
